Bon voyage! Have fun and bring back some stories (hopefully the hiking trails won’t have any mean old grannies).

Have a hearty, healthy, hikey time! Fred said one of the best meals he ever ate was an an outdoor a BBQ pit-type place he happened upon while hiking the Rockies, and that eating outdoors added amazing flavor to the food. Hope the same happens to you.

Enjoy your trip. My man and I are heading into the Rockies this summer–that means that I’ll gladly take your eating recommendations and culinary discoveries.
Thanks for the “new to read” link. I take that as a great compliment.
Happy travels.

Gorgeous, gorgeous photo. Have a great time hiking. I’m headed to the Alps, myself. (Much less of a challenge, as they’re so much smaller than the rockies).

i got so engrossed in your thoughts and style of writing that you’ve allowed me to procrastinate for much longer than i should’ve.
i also kept trying to drink from the empty tea glass next to me.
keep it up, yes?

Mary — No grannies, but the altitude nearly felled me, to be sure!
Anne — Fred’s right. Eating outdoors in the Rockies is a near religious experience. Everything tastes and smells 1000 times better than you can ever imagine!
Christina — We happened upon some gems. I’ll be posting my highly subjective guide to surviving Colorado in a few days.
Sher — Piccies coming soon, I hope they live up to your expectations!
Glenna — thanks! I hope they don’t disappoint!
Susan — I hope your trip was as awesome as ours (although I would have gladly traded you, I’m jonseing for Europe something fierce).
Anne — You bet! It’s funny you mention the empty teacup. That happens to me constantly when I’m writing… Weird.
