I know it’s been awhile since I promised to tell you all about my new job, but some of you figured it out by following me on Twitter. But for those who haven’t, here’s a little hint.
Still stumped? Okay, I’ll spill (but mainly because I’m so excited!) I now work at the New York Botanical Garden! (The one up in the Bronx, not the one in Brooklyn.) Pinch me! I think I’m still dreaming. Except. I’m totally not.
I started last Wednesday as the Director of Online Content. What does that mean? Honestly, I’m still trying to figure it out. But so far it seems like it means: a lot of running around the Gardens with a videographer and a photographer, a lot of meetings, learning Photoshop, wrestling with a Mac, writing a lot of copy and so, so, so much thinking.
It is very exciting (at least for me!) and incredibly challenging. If you’d like to track my progress you can do it here, here, here and here (well, and of course, here). And anyone who would like to be put on my press and blog list for events and updates on the garden should drop me a line or leave a comment.
And that, I promise is my last self-serving post on my new job! Promise! I’m just so excited! It’s taking me a little bit of time to figure out how to reorganize my day (I have to be out of the house hours earlier than previously, which is cutting into my photoediting and post-writing time), but I’m sure I’ll be back to regular posting soon.
Which is good, because I’ve got so many stories to tell you. There was the party two weekends ago, and a trip to the County Fair, and we discovered these amazing little corn fritters, and there have been so. many. tomatoes. So stay tuned. There’s a whole lot going on!

Loulou, Adrienne, thank you! It’s all very exciting!
Luscious photos–thanks for sharing amidst busyness and have a great time in the garden.
