I hate to do this…
But I’m putting the Granny Cart on hiatus for a little bit.
The chaos of the holidays, combined with some changes at work and a little health problem that has cropped up in my life have made me realize that right now, I just don’t have the time to devote to this blog, so I’m going to take a few weeks off.
I’m really sad about this decision. I love writing this blog. I love taking pictures. And I love sharing them both with you. But, I need to do this. So, I hope you’ll check back in a week or two.
And hey, you never know, I might not be able to do it, I might be back before you know it. At least that’s what I’m hoping! See you soon.
We’ll miss you! Hope you are feeling better soon… we’ll be here when you get back :)
Ann, you’ll be missed but take all the time you need. Hope work gets less crazy and your health problems are resolved quickly.
Relax and rejuvenate. We’ll miss you but we’ll be here when you return.
Have a great break. Enjoy the season, get feeling better, and although we’ll miss you, we’ll be here when you get back! :)
Hey, we all need a break from time to time – and I’m sure we’ll all be here when you get back! Be well and enjoy your time off.
Looking forward to continuing to follow your wonderful blog once things calm down a bit for you. Sometimes something’s got to give! We can always go digging back into your archives!
Have a wonderful holiday season! xo
I really hope everything will go better for you pretty soon.
Try to relax and enjoy the season and when you will come back to the blog I’ll be here to read your adventures and to admire your pictures.
Christmas break — that’s ok! I’ve enjoyed visiting your site. Take care.
Girlfriend, everyone needs a break! Enjoy your holiday. We’ll see you when you get back!
Ann, I’ve been enjoying your site for many months, delighting in the lovely photos and words and recipes you post. Thank you so much. Take care of yourself. Best wishes, Lenora
Take care! We’ll be here when you get back.
Ann –
I’ve never commented before but I’ve been reading your blog ever since I moved to New York. You’ve inspired many meals, hours of kitchen-labor, and beautiful walks about the city – thank you. As a fellow food-lover (and Bay-Ridger!) I will miss your regular posts but will find some way to persevere.
Good luck and good health to you.
Take care, Ann. We’ll look forward to your return.
Have a wonderful and rejuvenating break from blogging. Hey, take me with you! Happy holidays.
Have a nice break, and relax. We all need a break once in a while. Happy Holidays!
Take your time! Hope you are feeling OK and we’ll be here when you return! Happy Holidays!
Be well…hope everything is OK and that we see you soon.
Your photos are a gracious gift. Thank you, again and again. May your break restore you and may this blog, so happily received by so many, never give you pressure, but only pleasure when you are able to return.
Best of luck…We’ll be thinking of you.
You guys are the nicest group of people I’ve (mostly) never met!! Thanks to each of you for your kind words! Enjoy your holidays, I’ll see you soon.
Dear Ann,
Thank you SO MUCH FOR THIS POST. Seriously. You are my mentor in taking time off the blog and prioritizing wisely. Hoping for your full recovery and know that your readers wish you only joy with the blog.
Ann,
You do whatever you need to do and come back whenever you can. Healthy wishes your way, and I know it may be weird to offer, but I only live in Philadelphia and I’ll be in Brooklyn and N. Jersey in and out over the holidays, so if there is anything you might need or want from Philly, you let me know. The email is attached.
Believe me, I know how you feel. Take the time to take care of yourself. Try to relax and enjoy the holidays. When you are ready to come back, we’ll be here waiting.
Enjoy your time off and rest and relax!
I have to say again, thanks to one and all for your kind words and offers (of pretzels perhaps? just kidding christine!) Things are good, I’m doing fine and enjoying the time off. I hope you are too. Enjoy your holidays. May they be healthy, happy and full of family, fun and friends.
Be well. You owe us nothing. I’m just grateful for the many wonderful posts and pictures that you’ve shared. May 2009 be wonderful for you and I’ll be glad when you return.
Happy New Year! You take as long as you want/need; but please do come back to us….when you are ready.
