It has never quite hit me how pervasive yellow is in Spring.

But it’s everywhere.  Daffodils. Crocuses. Forsythia. Violas. Birds. Boxes. Ties. Hairpieces.

Though I continue to maintain that there is no official “color scheme” for our wedding, yellow is of course invited to the party. It’s in Isaac’s tie.  I’m toying with a little butter and caramel-hued silk flower that I might use in my hair.  My boquet (my mother tells me) will be yellow.

Spring’s yellow is surprisingly sharp, sometimes verging on and elbowing into the territories of orange and green.  No pale pastels here.  It’s the cheeriest and happiest of colors and a welcome visitor after so many months of beige, greige and gray.
